Course Overview
Students develop the skills to create professional visual presentations and develop their portfolios. Students develop boards with graphics, photography, floor plans, material palettes, and presentation layouts that communicate design ideas clearly and professionally to clients.
- Use InDesign to create multi-page layouts
- Use Illustrator to create branding logos and single page layouts
- Use Photoshop to manipulate and touch-up photos and images
The final output of this Adobe class are portfolio pieces including a multi-page layout (created in InDesign) of a room remodel (images manipulated using Photoshop) and designer bio page (created in Illustrator).

Materials Kit
- PC Computer and 3-button mouse
- A Windows-based PC is required for all HSID Dallas programs. Macs are not supported
- Powerpoint slides for each lecture will be provided
- Instructions for downloading the Adobe software will be provided
